Ephilae are large, eight-legged amphibians that inhabit the deeper equatorial reed forests of their planet.. The eat fish, bird eggs, large insects, and occasional small wading birds.
Their name means 'Fire Eyes' in a fictional language that I made up two seconds ago. They're called Fire Eyes because of their brilliant irises, which you can't see in the picture.
